Michigan Magic is a middle school boys travel basketball program based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. We focus on player development, character, leadership, and creating a positive, competitive environment that prepares athletes for high school basketball.

We currently serve 6th, 7th, and 8th grade boys for the 2026-2027 season.

Practices are held at partner gym facilities in the Ann Arbor area. Games are played at weekend tournaments across Michigan and the Midwest.

The 2026-2027 season runs from September 2026 through March 2027, with optional summer skills sessions leading into the season.

We use a roster-building process that considers skill level, attitude, coachability, and team balance. Our goal is to put together competitive teams where every player can develop and contribute.

That's okay. Michigan Magic is built for development. Players of all experience levels are welcome, and many of our players are new to competitive travel basketball.

Teams typically practice once per week during the season, with optional skills sessions and open gyms available.

Teams play in approximately 5 tournaments throughout the season, primarily on weekends.

Most tournaments are within driving distance of Ann Arbor. A few may be regional (Grand Rapids, Detroit, etc.). Overnight stays are minimal.

Pricing details are shared with families during the registration process. Michigan Magic is committed to keeping travel basketball accessible — significantly more affordable than elite AAU programs.
